Jonathan has been in health care for over 30 years, first qualifying as an Optometrist in Manchester, United Kingdom in 1985. He opened his own optical practice in 1990 in Liverpool and subsequently added five more locations over the next few years. He relocated to London in 2002 and opened 3 optical franchises. He served as a council member for the association of optometrists in the UK (the representative body for U.K. optometrists) from 2014 to 2022.

He was the chief operating officer as well as an active practitioner with a hands-on management style.

Jonathan is married with one daughter and relocated to Florida in 2022 when he joined the Skolnick Eye Institute. He worked initially as an ophthalmic technician and then as surgical coordinator and has 30+ years experience in contact lens fittings. Jonathan is very accessible and has always prioritized customer service.
